Microsoft Project Server Consultant

CONTRACT-TO-HIRE

Location: Connecticut

Duration: TBD

Responsibilities:

- Requirements gathering, installation, configuration and support of Microsoft Project Server 2007/2010 for clients

- Deployment, integration and tuning of underlying software components (e.g. Windows SharePoint Services/SharePoint Foundation, SharePoint Server 2007/2010, SQL Server)

- Development and delivery of system documentation, including: Requirements, Architecture Diagrams, Configuration Settings and Administrative documentation

- Development and delivery of user training to Project Managers, Resource/Functional Managers, Executives and Team Members

- Pre-sales support, including software demonstrations, scoping discussions and technical review of client proposals

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

- 3+ years work experience implementing/administering Microsoft Project Server technical environments

- Microsoft SharePoint & SQL Server administration experience and/or training

- Experience and/or training in Project Management fundamental skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to interface with clients, internal staff and partners

- Be self-motivated and customer service oriented

- Committed to personal and professional development

Additional Experience/Skills, considered a plus:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology or other related technical field

- 3+ years technical consulting work experience on IT implementation projects

- Experience delivering formal user training

- Experience using formal Project Management methodologies

- Experience with non-Microsoft Enterprise Project Management software applications

- Project Management Certification
